Word has it everything he touches, turns to
gold. King Midas?
Nope. Even better. It's Thomas Gold!!
For Thomas, 2009 was a
successful not to say a 'golden' year! After Thomas' first single of the
year "Everybody Be Somebody" (MoS) had topped the international
charts, his success continued when his next single "Shake It"
(Cr2) became one of THE 2009 Ibiza anthems and ranks at #6 amongst
beatport's best selling tracks of 2009!
Riding the wave of sucess, in late summer Thomas came up with his 3rd
production "In Your Face" (Joia) and in autumn, his single
"Just Because" (feat. Amanda Wilson) with Remixes from Ian Carey
and others climbed up the charts again…
For 2010 you can expect a lot to come from Thomas. Due at the end of
January, his very new single "Push The Button" will be released
on one of the leading labels of the genre none other than Toolroom
Records!
Mark Knight loved Thomas' new production so much he signed it directly to
his own label!
From now on, Thomas will be part of the infamous "Toolroom
Knights" party crew, keeping good company alongside other heavyweight
artists including Funkagenda & Fedde le Grand.
For years now, Thomas' flawless talent as a producer has resulted in a
string of massively successful single releases: "Don't You Want
Me", "Everybody Be Somebody", "In Your Face", and
of course "Shake It (Move A Little Closer)" to name but a few.
His undeniable skill as a remixer has also seen him remix tracks for
massive artists like Erick Morillo, Robbie Rivera, Paul van Dyk, Roger
Sanchez, Ian Carey, Antoine Clamaran, Huggy & Dean and Alex Gaudino.
So it's hardly surprising that Thomas Gold was nominated for Beatport
"Best Progressive House Artists" and even won the beatport award
in the category "Best Progressive House Track" for his remix on
Delerium "Silence".
Thomas has been working with some of the biggest players in the industry.
Like his recent remix on Erick Morillo's "Say The Word" and Paul
Van Dyk's classic anthem "We Are Alive".
The start of autumn saw him remixing tracks for Robbie Rivera, Seamus Haji
and for house legend Mark Knight's label Toolroom Records.
With this strength and quantity of material its no wonder Thomas has
gained such a massive following amongst discerning clubbers, Labels and
other DJs. His tracks are hot property with Axwell, Mark Knight, Erick
Morillo, TV Rock, DJ DLG, Vandalism, Alex Gaudino, Pete Tong, Norman Doray,
Syke´n Sugarstarr, Antoine Clamaran, Dabruck & Klein and Stonebridge
all counting themselves as fans of his work.
So what gives Thomas the drive to work day and night the studio until the
track is tight?
"The greatest thing, is to see and feel the vibrations when I first
play a track to an audience. Spinning my latest stuff and watching from
the DJ booth as the crowd get excited and begin to go crazy gives me an
amazing feeling that words can’t describe! That’s what pushes
me!"
Thomas is constantly travelling around the world with his unique and
distinctive "Golden TG Set", playing his own productions and
remixes.
It goes without saying that Thomas Gold is spinning in all of the hottest
places around the world; from Los Angeles to Miami, from London to
Manchester, Paris to Lyon, Sao Paulo to Rio De Janeiro, Moscow to
Novosibirsk, Montreal to Vancouver, Sydney to Melbourne, Buenos Aires,
Jakarta, Vienna, Helsinki to Stockholm, and of course on Ibiza where he
played at El Divino, Space and Privilege. Alongside all Thomas' live gigs,
